NOTION : ESPACES ET ECHANGES                                                                                                         ANGLAIS

THEME : L’IMMIGRATION

Introduction: For the notion, spaces and exchanges, I chose to talk about immigration. Immigration is the arrival of foreigners to a country other than their own in the hope of finding a job and living a better life. So, we can find one in every corner. We can’t help but notice their presence. We will ask ourselves this question how this immigration poses problems and what are the possible solutions? We will first explain the different problems and then the solutions proposed.

  1. So, I'm going to start by talking about immigration problems.
  1. As a first step we will explain why are they living?
  • To begin with we can say that immigrating is not a choice but rather a constraint or an obligation.
  • It is a constraint because often the immigrant has a bad economy or politics in his country forcing him to leave.
  • His country is often a poor country.
  • Workers leave to earn more money and make their families live.

  1. There may also be problems in their lives in this new country.
  • There, workers hardly speak the language of the country, which becomes a handicap.
  • Their children have the same problem and may have problems integrating into school.
  • Finally, their differences in languages, origins, colors of skins and cultures can create discrimination and racism.
  1. Immigration can also be an economic problem.
  • Immigration can be a problem for people living in the country concerned.
  • Some people say that immigrants take jobs and increase the unemployment.
  • They also disagree that immigrants benefit from a lot of aid.
  1. In the second part I will talk about possible solutions.
  1. The first is to help them.
  • For me it would be necessary as soon as they arrive to give them language courses so that they succeed better in the work.
  • For children they should be helped to help them integrate into the school.
  • Teachers should talk to the school with the children about that.
  1. It can also be said that immigration is the best solution for help a poor country.
  • Just open the borders, and if people immigrate, they have good reason to do so.
  • We do not cross a continent and seas on a head, but because we hope to find better things.
  • This can also be an inexpensive form of international aid, the effectiveness of which has been proven.
  • The work in our country seems to us poorly paid but it is much better paid than in their country

Conclusion: To conclude, we can say that everyone has a different opinion on immigration. Personally, I think it has good as bad sides. On the one hand it helps people in difficulties but it can also penalize other people and create discrimination. And finally, I personally don’t have immigrants in my entourage but I find these people courageous and strong mentally.
