I am going to present you the notion of Myths and Heroes. First of all a myth can be defined as a story about gods or heroes, it can be a popular belief or a tradition.

A hero is someone who possesses many qualities like courage, bravery, strength. A hero can be a mythological figure, an ordinary person like firefighters, volunteers.

In general a hero fights for a cause as equality or justice. He can change the situation and makes history.

I would like to illustrate in particular this notion through Captain America. Captain America is one of the most recognizable superhero published by Timely Comics.

He was designed as a super-soldier symbolizing the American patriotism. Both his red and blue uniform and his shield were inspired by the American flag.

This brings me to this reflection : does captain america represent the values and patriotism of the americans

He was created to symbolize american patriotism because he protect the united state as a guardian of the nation.

He was ready to die to protect his nation. He is an example for the american who want to be patriot. He was created during the ww 2 to show the strenght of the united states.
