MYTHS AND HEROES
I’m going to talk about the notion of myths andheroes.
First of all, I’m going to give a definition about this
notions. A myth, it’s a story about gods or heroes who
can be a popular belief, a tradition or a false notion.
An hero can be a real or mythological figure.He is
most of the time admired for his actions, his courage
and his noble qualities. We can ask ourselves if it
does require exeptional qualities to be a hero or can
anyone be just considered as such on day? There
are tree documents to illustrate the problematic ; the
first document is an article published in January 18, 2015 by Jame Owen in London. This article is issued
on National Geographie News.The second document
is a video that talking about the Irish Paralympic
Champions who are considered like heroes. And the
3rd document is a sculpture of Hercules dating back
to about 200 years after Jesus Christ. We can see in
this sculpture Hercules when he was young and he
strangling a snake.
One on hand, to be a hero you have to be strong,
brave and ready to risk your life. And it's not
something banal. we can take the example of Hercules. Hercules is a hero of Roman mythology, he
is a half god, he is the son of Zeus.He is known for his
exceptional strength and courage, which allowed him
to accomplish the famous twelve works.
Moreover, in myths, heroes are often the gods or half-
gods and they have supernatural powers.

to have powers or a parent who is a god. For
