Myths and heroes: methodology - How to present your notion

Introduction

- short definition of the words myth and heroes (see documents studies in class + book p. 12)

- raise an issue (énoncer une problématique à laquelle vous allez répondre)

- announce a plan

Development

- give specific examples to illustrate your issue (Malala Yousafzai / a committed heroes - Oprah Winfrey / a self-made woman / fulfilling the American Dream - Lt Ambellas / firefighters: ordinary heores)

- make links between the notion, your issue and your examples

- make links between the differents parts

Conclusion

- sump what you said answering the question you've raised in the introduction

- give your personal opinion about your issue

- open the debate to another idea

Introduction

I'm going to deal with the notions of myths and heroes trying more particularly to answer the following question: ??? (if you've got no idea, ask your beloved teacher or see above).

Give a short definition of Myths and heroes or just heroes is your issue doesn't include the notion of myth and present your outline/plan

Development

Let me give you some examples to illustrate my point / to illustrate the notion of (myths) and heroes and the question I've just raised.

Explain briefly the different documents you've chosen to illustrate your point (don't forget to make links and to come back to the question you've raised).

Conclusion

In spite of their differences, these people share the same values (courage, determintation, commitment, the spirit of self-sacrifice... and show that (answer the question you've raised).

Personally I think that a hero is someone who... and my favourite hero is.....

(example of inappropriate sentence: My favourite hero is my cat because it never contradicts me!)
