Multiculturalism is when many cultures are coexisting together in a same society, a same country.

This video begin in Borough Market, how is name tell it, it is a big market near London Bridge Station. Firstly, it is shot here because this is the place which give us the best idea of what is « Britain multicultural ». This market is the biggest most popular market in London because persons of different cultures are selling ethnic food: it means that people of different cultures are coexisting on the same market to sell their typical food. For example, we can buy spicy sausages or other food from Argentina… This market starts from 2pm. This video explains what’s multiculturalism in London: for example, in London there is a large Chinese population as in New York and so, there is a Chinatown situated on the West Town of London where there are many Chinese shops and restaurants. There is also a Banglatown in Brick Lane, in London East where is living Bangladesi community and where there are also typical Indian restaurants. Actually, London is composed of many littles towns or boroughs for each culture : it is a melting pot. That’s what it make it stronger and beautiful because peoples grow up with differents persons of differents cultures, colours and religions. Actually, muticulturalism is what makes United Kingdom and London stronger In a similar way the UK itself has long adopted a policy of multiculturalism in relation to immigrants. Put in very simple terms this means that the UK allows people from different cultures to live in the UK whilst continuing to practise their own cultural traditions rather than expecting them to adapt to, so-called, “British” ways.
