Biography

Marianas Trench is a Canadian pop-rock group from Vancouver. They are very talented, and play really awesome music. They know how to combine beautifully acapella and actual music. They captived the audience with their lovely songs. Their nice personality made them stand out from others. They sound more rock than Justin Bieber, but sweeter than U2. They are the best in their style. In concert, they are the most friendly and interact a lot with the crowd.

At the beginning, the group was named Ramsay fiction and was composed by Josh Ramsay, Matt Webb, Steve Marshall and Morgan Hempsted. After the separation of the band, Josh and Matt searched other members. They found Ian Casselman due to a newspaper ad. So, they organized auditions to find a bassist. Mike Ayley, the roommate of Ian, has heard and is choose later to be the fourth member of Marianas Trench.

Shake tramps is their first success. In effect, this very good song won the SOCAN No. 1 song award.

Their most popular songs are Cross My Heart, Celebrity Status, All to Myself and Fallout. Their video clip for cross My Heart was nominated to be the next MuchMusic Video Awards - Favorite Canadian Video.

Marianas trench is my favorite Canadian band because they can really stand out against other popular groups. Their music is really unique, and their songs don't all sound the same. I wish more people knew about Marianas Trench because they are a really awesome band, and they don’t get all the recognition that they should.
