Sujet: equality between women and men.

Today, more than the other days, I need you. But for what? I need you, because I dreamed about our future, Because the equality between women and men is also your problem, because now it’s time to put an end to these inequalities. Some of you will tell me that doesn’t exist anymore whereas Unfortunately yes.

Yet Do you think it's normal that we continue to force youngs girls to get married? that some youngs girls cannot study because they are associated with household chores at home? that textbooks systematically favor male characters?

Or that some countries like Poland are governed mainly by men allow jnthemselves to suppress this feminine right which is abortion?

No ! I think it's okay that I can dispose of my own body. I find it normal that women participate in politics and decision-making in my country to represent me. I find it normal that society gives me the same respect as men. I think it’s normal that as a woman I get paid as much as men. In fact, three women in four earn less than their partner.

Sadly, even if we lead a fight for a long time, no country in the world today can claim to have achieved equality between men and women.

When I was 12 , I realised that my friends preferred to have a crush on a girl idealized by the media.

When I was 14, men followed me in the street.

And now, I’m 16, soon 17, men continue staring at me in public transport like if I’m a piece of meat.

So I can say this, I am feminist and I think everybody must be feminist.

We still often associate feminism with a hate against the men, where the women want to be superior at them. I know that inequalities aren’t only about the women but also about the men, and I know the day will come when men will break out of stéreotypes in which they are imprisoned.

And this day precisely the situation of women will spontaneously improve.

Gentlemen, I would like to take this opportunity to formally invite you to lead this fight because Gender equality is also your problem. If men no longer need to be violent to be accepted, women will no longer feel as though they have to be submissive. If men don't need to dominate anymore, then women don't have to be dominated.

Gender equality has made more progress in seventy years than in several millennia. But the biggest mistake would be to believe that we have come most of the way. But we are moving too slowly. Enven if, in the world in general, somethings have change the stereotypes and discrimination that women continue to face, the small injustices which when accumulated lead to a major inequality. If you believe in gender equality, you might be one of those ignoring feminists.. And for that, thank you.

Nevertheless, like many other subjects it is now the responsibility of our generation to make things happen quickly and clearly
