G7 SUMMIT 2019: IS CONSENSUS POSSIBLE WITH TRUMP IN BIARRITZ?

Video who is talking about the recent G7 summit in Biarritz hosted by president Macron. The purpose of this summit was multiple:

• The environment;
• Social injustices;
• Economic Development;
• Reorganization of global trade;

THE CETA

(COMPREHENSIVE ECONOMIC AND TRADE AGREEMENT) AND HIS DANGERS

The CETA is a free trade deal between Europe and Canada. This agreement gives the possibility to remove 93% of tariffs, but also boost services and trade.

Undertheless, there is a lot of oppositions with EU farmers who complains that Canadians products will be cheaper and EU market will be flooded with lower quality.  

If there is not enough oppositions to GMO’s (Genetically Modified Organisms) in the EU, the food will not be safe and put in jeopardise public health.

There Is a lot of groups who are fighting versus the GMO’S for example, Food Watch who is talking about bad consequences of this agreement on public health.  

Furthermore, this association is demonstrating the rise of toxic ingredients in the food imported from Canada. Farmers in EU are opposed to this treaty as Canada represents a danger for themselves and for the public safe.

Both CETA and MERCOSUR represent a threat for Europeans farmers.

Mrs Jacquemart, president of the association is alerting on the consequences of this treaties don’t really take public health and environment issues seriously.  

CHINA FIGHTING AGAINST CLIMAT CHANGE

In the recent years, Chines has decided to fight against climate change and reduce their carbon footprints. Chinese political leaders have become aware of the dangers of global warming.

For example, China wants to reduce carbon emissions by halting production of cars that are not energy efficient. It is both for domestic and foreign markets.

Only 1% of the market will be impacted. It is meant to show that China really wants to take part in the movement to reduce carbon emissions.

She has totally changed its strategy as it was a very unlikely defender of climate change worldwide. It’s because of domestic health concerns but also thanks to international awareness that this was impossible.

The result of these measure will be the replacement of measures of polluting car by energy efficient one mostly EV’S, China is driving the global movement toward clean car? Whereas the US is suppressing some environmental measures.

To conclude, if foreign companies wants to export to China, they will have to adjust.

THE E-COMMERCE

The e-commerce is the commercial activities generated thanks to the worldwide web.
Thanks to technologies development and globalization, the e-commerce knew a big period of growth and development.

The more e-commerce develops the higher is competition. Moreover, the more E-commerce develop, the more bricks and mortars had to adjust to this environment.

E-commerce generated some huge companies like Amazon and Alibaba/ wish.
