The movie we chose is MAMA, a Spanish-Canadian horror film directed by ANDRES MUSCHIETTI, released in two thousand thirteen (2013).

MAMA takes place in a city not well-off, with a time not famous.

It's the story of two little girls whose mother was murdered by their father.

The two daughters alone educate themselves like savages in a cabin in the middle of the woods followed by an evil being named Mama (the murderer of their father) who is a ghost. 

Five years later, the two girls are found by researchers hired by their uncle Lucas (their father's brother), collected by him and his Annabel campaign.

Back in a normal life, Lilly and Victoria did not return alone but followed by Mama.

Gérald Dreyfuss, a doctor determined to know the identity of Mama, conducts her investigation by finding the real story of Mama, a woman from a Hospital Psychiatric who committed suicide with her baby by jumping from a cliff, gold her child landed on a piece of wood and died alone in the sun.

At the end of the film Mama tries to disappear for ever, alongside Lilly and Victoria, Victoria saved by Annabel unfortunately for Lilly isn't possible because she was attached herself only to MAMA, followed instinctively by crying the separation of her and her sister Victoria.

MAMA is neither fundamentally bad nor really good, for us this film is synonymous of terror with the sudden appearances of the ghost, there is also romanticism with the relationship of Lucas and Annabel, and to crown the whole, there is the love between MAMA and the two girls, and the love that Annabel has felt with Lilly and Victoria until fighting for them at the end of the movie.

This movie truly reflects the love that mothers bring to their children.

Le film que nous avons choisi s'intitule: MAMA, c'est un film d'horreur canado-espagnol, réalisé par ANDRES MUSCHIETTI, sorti en 2013.

MAMA se déroule dans une ville peu aisée, avec un temps pas fameux.

C'est l'histoire de deux petites filles dont leur mère a été assassinée par leur père.

Les deux filles seules s'élèvent comme des sauvages dans une cabane au milieu des bois suivi d'un être maléfique nommé Mama (l'assassin de leur père) qui est un fantôme. 

Cinq ans plus tard, les deux filles sont retrouvés par des chercheurs embauchés par leur oncle Lucas (le frère de leur père), recueillies par celui-ci et sa campagne Annabel.

Retour dans une vie normal, Lilly et Victoria ne sont pas revenus seules mais suivi de Mama.

Un docteur déterminée de connaître l'identité de Mama, mène son enquête en trouvant bel et bien l'histoire réelle de Mama, une femme sorti d'un Hospital Psychiatrique qui s'est suicidé avec son bébé en sautant d'une falaise, or son enfant a atterri accroché sur un bout de bois et mourut seul au soleil.

A la fin du film Mama tente de disparaitre pour toujours aux cotés de Lilly et Victoria, Victoria sauvé par Annabel malheureusement pour Lilly qui s'est attaché uniquement à MAMA, l'a suivi avec instinct en pleurant la séparation d'elle et sa sœur Victoria.
