Euthanasia

this text is an extract from the NYT and deals with the euthanasia in the Netherlands. it consist on 3 main parts.

the first on consist in an explanation of the news law and a history context . actually the Netherlands was the firt country to allow euthanasia for the older people in unhealthy. the new law break the health border and legalize euthanasia for old personn who were healthy.

They argue that they were aware of their painful condition : loneliness, reduced mobility and they wan't to be a burden for their family. If they were absolutely convinced that they have a completed lives they can choose to make end their life.

The second part underlines the pro who try to convince that this solution is an beeing meanning to make the old personn life end. they put in light that this solution can keep on the dignity oh the old people .

the cons who argue in the third part, say on the contrary that this solution is an ethical issue and even if an old people is lonely and so one the governement must not to give him the mean to put his own life end. the government must to try a solution to reduce the loneliness ans to increase the health care . the christians say that it's a trying to murder this people in the name of charity. and the gvenement must to make a limited age to force people not to kill themselve.

in my opinion, the euthanasia for the healthy old personn can be a good thing if this person is really very old and nobody in their familly can help. But in another way, if the people had still some family we can assume that this solution is not the best. In my view, this solution is an economical aspect : it's cheaper to help someone to kill itsel than to assume the cost of a medical or social aid. Moreover, for an ethical point of view , we can imagine a society without old people because of the society who think that the old age is mean and useful.
