The life is harsh!
Yes indeed and especially for a girl who is belittle by this patriarchal society.
Nevertheless, I keep on my mind the idea that each difficulty has the potential to open our eyes and our heart.
My name is Rekha, I was 12 and well I was as any other little girl who live in dire strait. Yet, my parents had the wish to married me. Each week, I had the right to bear this same farce: my mother prepared me with many jewels and she put me tons of makeup to seem older. When I discovered the guys supposed to be my future husband it was with surprise that I noticed that they were more and more old every time. Therefore, at the number of five men I decided to reveal to my parents that I won't get married with this kind of men because I was dreaming about a love marriage. My father was very angry and he hunted me. Thanks to a book I have realized that a girl has the same brain who can think and the same heart who can fall as the ones of a man.
I mean, these facts are not sufficient to themselves?
Why a woman can’t be independent than a man, why a woman can’t have the same right than a man, why a woman can’t choice her husband?
If I have decided to talk to you about my own experience who I confess is not a good memory. However, I guess that it is important to share my own experience in order to give some hope for all young girls who do not know that they can say no to their parents. And I wish to precise, far from me the desire to burden my parents with reproaches thanks to the expression of my anger. I will not to lie to you, I once was but some tests, some experiences make us to grow up in the life, and even if unfortunately I think that I was too young to live that.
Thank you for your attention, my name is Rekha and I am 17 years old.
