The first Amish was living in Switz-land and was protestant Anabaptist. The Amish went in the United States of America in search of religious freedom because they where persecuted. Now they live in the states of Pennsylvania, Ohio, Indiana and around.

They reject modern innovations because that make competition, the photos increase vanity and the telephone is bad for human relations, if you want to talk to a friend, go in his home.

In the Amish village, you can do a daily tour. Firstly, a guide will welcome you at the entrance of the village. Then the guide will explain you the history of the village and why the Amish live like that. After that you will visit an Amish carpenter and his wife who make artisanal foods, they will explain and show you how they work, without new technologies. In addition you will see a typical Amish house. Later, you will visit the village’s school and the church. You will lunch with the Amish and wear typical Amish clothes. You will learn a few words of “Pennsylvania Dutch”, the Amish dialect. At the end of the day you will ride a buggy and visit their plantations. You will food the horses.
