In November 2010, the ‘Buried Life’ stars, Ben Nemtin, Dave Lingwood, Ducan Penn and Jonnie Penn, escaped from an island of Aitutaki in the South Pacific.
After getting dumped at the sea somewhere in the South Pacific, Ben Nemtin, Dave Lingwood, Ducan Penn and Jonnie Penn swam to shore and immediately went in search of food and water. They started fishing. However, there was not fresh water to drink directly, except for the sea water. The boys found a large arear of coconut trees in the forest behind them, so they began to work together to climb the tree to pick the coconut. To get out of here eventually, Jonnie Penn came up with a wat to ‘build a wooden boat’. Also, the quartet began to look for ways to burn the fire. They tried many methods, but none of them succeeded. Finally, Jonnie got an idea. He used lid for holding some water and put the lid on the wooden shelf, spread the leaves under the lid. The sun would shine through the lid to the leaves, and the fire was burning. The other three friends admired his methods and called him ‘the King of the Forest’.
At the same time, as night fell and the weather 1z became colder, the boys realized they need to build a shelter.
The days passed, the boys faced a new problem: there was not enough food and water. “The situation is getting worse and worse day by day” said Jonnie Pen. Just then, the worst thing happened,

Jonnie Pen was dehydrated. “He needs meat that we haven’t had for days” said Ducan Penn. Then, Ducan successfully hunted a bird for Jonnie. The time went on, Jonnie was better, but still weak. With triple-digit heat depleting their energy and the threat of blood-hungry sharks lurking, Dave and Duncan set out 1on a man-made raft to find help while Ben and a dehydrated Jonnie stayed behind.
Luckily, they were eventually rescued by a boat of fisherman and brought to safety.
Before the boys left. They made a plan for themselves: no food, no help, no water. They had to make their way to civilization without any possessions other than the sole item each is authorized to bring. “It’s a very challenging thing. For us, this is proof anything is possible.” Nemtin says. This was item #88 on their bucket list.
The TV series follows “four regular guys on a mission to complete a list of ‘100 Things To Do Before You Die’ and to help and encourage others to go after their own lists.” Episode highlights include the boys making a toast at a wedding, learning to krump, playing basketball with President Obama, tell a joke on late night television, help deliver a baby, and sneak into the Playboy Mansion.
