SHORT STORY - 5A1/6A2 - THE INVISIBLE MAN - QUESTIONS

1. Who’s the main character of the story ? (name, surname, job, personality…)

The main character is John Turnbull Angus, his job is unknown and he is young.

1. Is the main character successful? In which way? Explain.

1. What is bothering her ? (what is she worried about?) Explain.

A few years before, Laura had to refuse 2 requests for marriage because of the ugliness of their partner. 

She makes up an excuse not to hurt her friends 

After that the two went to made their fortune and one of them: Isidore smythe had succeded by selling

robots that do all the housework for you.

After that the two men went to fulfill the condition which was to make a fortune by themselves, one of the two succeeded in selling household robots the other man frightens her even more because she no longer heard of him but swears to have heard his voice. 

1. Is she the only one to be worried? If she’s not, who is then?  

Isidore Smythe because he has received threatening from his competitor James Welkin

1. Who decides to help her figure out what happened? How?  

John knows a good private detective, so he will offer the detective's help to Isodore.

1. What do they notice when they come back to the apartment?

He has footprints in the snow but no suspect was seen at the apartment. Isodore disappeared leaving just a pool of blood behind him.

1. Explain the title and the mystery of the story.  

James Welkin was present on all the stages, he was just disguised as a postman so nobody cares to see someone so banal. In conclusion there is no invisible man just someone who no one pays attention to.
