A jounalist seems to have been fired ( or dismissed, or to get the boot) for stopping( or preventing) refugees from running away ( or from escaping, or getting away)

An accused seems to have been called to court (or summoned to) for the Rhys murder

  4. According to  an other witness, who saw the suspect a few minutes after the crime, this suspect seemed to have seen something terrifiant.
  5. The murderer seems to have escaped through  the window.
