                                     Subject: Oscar Wilde, a famous Irish writer, once said “Between men and women there is no friendship.  There is passion, enmity, worship, love, but no friendship”. 

Friendship relationship is now defined as a lasting sympathy between 2 or more people who have no physical or psychological attraction. Nowadays friendly relationships between two people of the opposite sex are possible. Fortunately, being friends with a person of the opposite sex allows you to have many perspectives of life and with good emotional health.

Firstly, being friends, a person of the opposite sex allows you to have different perspectives of life. Sometimes men and women have different opinion on each subject of life. For example, this difference will allow you to learn about the other and enrich your conversations. (Mayrand, 2009, para. 5).  It also you will be able to develop personal knowledge which can be useful for your future relationships.  

Secondly, being friends with a person of the opposite sex a good emotional health.

Clearly, it is proving that there is less tension in friendships of two people of different sexes because you do not have the same interests. For example, generally in friendships between women there is always jealousy which leads to toxic friendships. (Duran, 2023, para. 6). To explain, there is no jealous or wickedness in friendship with two opposite sexes, just peace.

In conclusion, friendly relationships between two people of the opposite sex are possible. It important to understand friendship with opposite sex can be true and they have many advantages like different perspectives of life and stable emotional health. For that reason, friendships of the opposite sex can be true without any physical attraction.
