I don't belive in golbal warming – Banksy – 2009

This photograph of the graffiti create on 2009 of the Street artist Banksy who denounce the global warming with a spray-paints message in red capitals «I don't belive in global warming » on wall with the words disappear underwater beside Regent's canal in north London , London is one of the cities threatened by global warming and submersion of the melting ice and rising sea levels

Banksy is known to be an activiqt on all of today's social or political issues such as war or starvation and poverty.

This Gaffiti was makes for the end of the Copenhagen climate conference.The Copenhagen Accord is an international conference that negotiates an agreement able to fight climate change such as reducing greenhouse gas emissions. It took place in December 2009 but the United States and China, the two main polluters on the planet, opposed the setting up of restrictive measures for their country.And finally no accord for the reducing greenhouse gas emission was conclude.

This image denounces the behavior of governments and people who turn a blind eye to the true impact of global warming on the planet. He uses the absurdity and the ridiculous to represent people who do not believe in it, moreover the letters painted in red attracts the eye and is synonymous with danger of more the environment makes it possible to note that the rising water exists because the letters disappear.

For me this work can make people aware of consciousness raiser of the global warming because it's simple and everyone can understand it , it is located in a street of london where everyone can see it and think about why and what the artist wants to denounce.

I love this artist he knows how to talk about sensitive subjects without violence and speak about things that people think but do not say, for me he represents a real symbol of our life. everyone knows one of his works or has heard of his graffiti
