Idea of progress

The idea of progress consists in ideologic, scientific advances, in evolution of a country as India. India is a country on the march thanks to the globalization and to the westernization. This country makes left BRICS and it should become the fifth economic world power. In spite of it very good ranking, this emerging country has a paradoxical development. It can be explained by the fact that in India stays so many disparities between the rich and the poor people. So we may wonder, to what extent is India a country on the march ?

India is a country which possesses numerous shoppings malls only in the big cities such as Mumbai, Hydrobad or New Delhi, the capital city. For example, we have ambience mall in Gurgaon and the high street Phoenix in Mumbai. Indeed, these shoppings malls bear exclusively Anglo-Saxon names. Maybe that it is tracks of the former English colony or that it is made so that India is represented in the world and so that it develops. Furthermore, there are so many restaurants, buildings, hotels, shoppings malls which look like strongly the western culture in the big cities. We can find restaurants in the French, Italian or still American food in Mumbai for example. If we have westerns hotels, they are for the tourists to disorient them not not so.

However, other activities allow India to develop quickly such as the new technologies. Indeed, Hydrobad is the biggest high tech city in India and her surname is Cyberbad. In this city, we can find so many industries as Google, movies studios or an amusement park. Sirisha is a indian which goes back home to Hydrobad and she finds a changement in the urban landscape with all the buildings. It is one of cities of India most developed. Indeed, it can be explained by the birth of this city thanks to the globalization and also to the westernization. Some movies are realised here. Nevertheless, the movies are above all realised in Mumbai because there is Bollywood. Bollywood is a contraction between Bombai, the former name of Mumbai and Hollywood. This industry has a history because the first movie dates 1899. In the 1920s, there is a increase of the productions of movies. The themes are more diverse and they get loose from the mythology and the Hinduism. In 1931, there was the first full-lenght film in not silence. In the 2000s, the cinema undergoes the westernization and the globalization. This is why are more and more western dances in the movies of Bollywood. So the Bollywood cinema evolves over time.

To conclude, India is a country which has a quickly develop because it can be explained by the western culture, the new technologies and by the Bollywood cinema. Even if India is a country on the march, he stays so many inequalities between rich and poor people. So we may wonder, how can we fight against the disparities in India.
