CONCLUSION

INTRODUCTION

Today, since the mid-80s, Côte d'Ivoire is a country much appreciated for business tourism but much less for leisure tourism. Indeed, because of the rise in the standard of living, many quality buildings could be built in Côte d'Ivoire thus allowing to welcome people coming for business. On the other hand, the various crises that have followed each other and the dangerous environment have slowed down the development of tourism in Côte d'Ivoire, which nevertheless remains one of the main objectives of the country. Ivory Coast is not the most popular tourist destination, although it has a lot to offer.

I-THE ADVANTAGES OF IVOIRIAN TOURISM

Tourism companies and their spectacular growth rates offer the image of prosperity in this context. These companies, combined with the growing interest in cultural and natural heritage, could be the lifeline of many regions .

·   1-New job opportunities:

Tourism businesses are characterized by an activity that is not well suited to automation as it is essentially service delivery. As a result, there are still labor-intensive enterprises that can offer new opportunities in terms of jobs and skills, especially among young people.

·   2- A diversity and stability of the local economy:

Tourism businesses are an extremely complex set of activities and services that cuts across many other sectors.Tourism receipts do not only generate direct gains for companies in the sector (hotels, tourist attractions, restaurants, etc.): they also generate indirect gains for other sectors, such as agriculture, construction and the manufacturing industry. Tourism can, for example, increase the demand for local food and supplies for the hotel establishments and create new markets for handicrafts 21.

·   3- A source of additional income:

Tourism businesses can also help existing sectors and small businesses already in place to earn an income supplement. In France, farmers who make a few rooms available to tourists can earn up to 2860 euros more per year, and up to 3150 euros per year if they also provide meals; this amount can reach 11000 euros if they propose a stable of excursion.

4-   A rise in the local standard of living:

Increasing incomes and taxes related to job and business creation can be used to maintain or upgrade localinfrastructure and services. The overall quality of the environment, and access to the area, can also be improved , as tourists prefer to visit attractive, clean and unpolluted places, and to access them easily. Properly managed, tourism can also create a sense of community and a spirit of cooperation, and help revive a village or community.

·   5- A conservation of the local natural and cultural heritage:

Tourism companies foster the development of a sense of pride and awareness of the natural and cultural assets of the region. This awareness can, in turn, foster greater understanding and sympathy for their restoration and protection, and help to ensure that larger funds are mobilized for this purpose. Tourism companies also promote the protection and enhancement of natural and cultural heritage.

1-Definition of tourism

Activity of a person traveling for pleasure, visiting a region, a country, a continent other than his own, to satisfy his curiosity, his taste for adventure and discovery, his desire to enrich his experience and his culture.

2-types of Ivorian tourism

a- Seaside tourism

The   Ivory Coast   account   520   km   of coasts bordering the Atlantic Ocean   : sandy beaches, coconut trees, coves, cliffs,   lagoons   allowing swimming,   surf ,   sport fishing , water sports,   sail . The cities of   Grand Bassam ,  Assini   or   Sassandra   are the main seaside tourist destinations. In addition, cities such as San Pédro with the sumptuous beach of Monogaga and Grand- Béréby which owes its popularity to the sublime bay named "The Bay of Mermaids".
