Idea of progress

To begin with, I would like to state a definition of progress. Progress is the idea that the world and the society can evolve positively in terms of sciences, technology, modernization, living condition, etc. However, the idea of progress is still debate between those who consider that it’s beneficial and those for whom it’s harmful.

Today we are surrounded by technological material to a point that they are part of our daily lives. Which effects on our life this technology dependance

To what extent can we say that our dependance to technology has a negative or positive effects on us ?

In what ways does our dependance of technology affect us ?

-Informations are transmitted to the whole world, so it is beneficial for economics because nowadays more and more exchanges of possessions are made on the net for exemple with the Stock Exchange or Ebay so it also creates a lot of jobs, for politics because for example before without media and internet population was not aware about the atrocity that could happen in several countries, for instance with the Arab Spring

- Connecting people

It allows people in countries around the world to instantly contact each other through email, chat programs and video calls.

With internet and social networks people can share their culture, tradition, interest and hobbies.

People are also able to find their childhood friends and get back in touch with them.

Furthermore with online video games, movies or music people are able to entertain their-self and never get bored.

There were different reactions some students couldn’t keep up the challenge and realized they were addicted. Some of them felt lonely and frustrated but others became more sociable and outgoing but is is a minority of the people

We can say that technology is isolating indeed it hinders human relationship
