After the 2016 elections where the Republican candidate Donald Trump and after assuming the position of President of the United States of America. From the first day there are those who request a political trial against him after the departure of his advisor on National Security, "Michael Flynn", for having spoken with the Russian government about the sanctions that former President Barack Obama imposed on Russia. Moreover, in August 2016, his then chief of campaign, Paul Manafort, resigned after being involved in a corruption scandal in Ukraine. He had previously been questioned about his links with the Russian government, since it was apparently he who contacted the Russian government with the Trump campaign. Without forgetting that among the articles presented there is one for which the president is accused of "obstructing justice", by dismissing James Comey from the position of director of the FBI.

George Papadopoulos, foreign policy advisor to the campaign, confesses that he had meetings with a woman he described as the niece of President Vladimir Putin, as well as with the Russian ambassador in London in March of last year. This accusation by Papadopoulos is the strongest evidence of possible collusion between Russia and the Trump campaign to favor his election.
