this written article of prospect, a monthly general interest magazine, deals with the perception of England and uk in cinema industries and series industries.

In this document, the magazine confess that brexit and cinema are the two most commons ways to express British culture. In this article lots of films are higlights Britishness stereotypes I there movie. For example, Trainspotting are film based on a worker class experience. But British cliches are mainly represented by little details.

Another’s aspects in British film, the queen is over represented in the British society. This place queen on the center of British politics. In a way it’s symbolise English politics and her institutions by putting her majesty on top of it.

To continue, most of family movies like Paddington deals with English stereotypes by placing all over the film, British flags, tea time. All this movies are rewarded at Oscar’s ceremony so it encourage the English film industry to continue on this way. It’s also promote the brexit. Queen is associated to the glorious empire of England, and British symbols prone British indépendance

At the end of the article, the author, Caspar Saumon, give his opinion on that subject. He thinks that British films doesn’t represent working class and British over all.
