Demand for jobs in hospitality is unaffected by weak economy

This article is entitled Demand for jobs in hospitality is unaffected by weak economy it is publiched in The Caterer and Hotelkeeper on october 11th , 2011 . It was written by Janie Stamford .

It deals with the influence of the London OG /2012/ on the hospitality job market. First I will make an account fo this article, second I will react on the subject matters and finally I will make an paralle with my professional life. This article is divide into 6 paragraphes, but I will divide it into two parts.

Despite recession jobs are avalable on the hospitality job market. Review their staffing and recrutement needs . The OG will attrack many tourists so the industry will need a lot of employees and they need to prepare/hire /recruit people.

Questions:

1/According to the article, what positions are being offered? What skills are needed?

The positions offered are particularly for more seniors and high-skilled roles. The more researched are skilled restaurant managers, and chefs. The skills needed are organising abilities, working in team and under high levels of pressure, professional qualification, presition, rapidity, discipline, speaking foreign languages, elaborating menus/dishes, dealing stocks/suplies, training peoples, knowedge rules, organising shifts/staff rotas, dealing with the recervation, analizing information/data/competitors, pay the salaries.

2/What do you know about the number of these positions? How do you explain that?

The number of these positions have increased from 26500 to 45000 so they are doubled their number. It is a consequence of the impending/comming OG, because OG will brick many tourists, sportmen, supporters and sport staffs, journalistm referrees and sport administration. The industry will have to accommodate and feed all these people.

3/How will the situation evolve?

The number of emploees will continue to glow up to the beginning of the OG and after that it will come down to it's normal level. Despite recession the hospitality industry enjoys a strong economic health so the specialists are quite confident about it's future.
