A Significant Event

I do not have a lot of memories when it’s about my childhood, but the ones I remember are the most powerful to me. Today I’m gonna talk about THE most powerful memory that I have in my mind, so if you are sensitive to dirty and weird stuff, I advise you to stop your reading right here. (Obviously if you are my teacher please continue)

This story happened when I was four years old, I was a risk taker, just a little bit I swear, and I’m sure that is why THIS happened to me. I just said that I was four but maybe I was five, I don’t remember that well. So I had just got a new bike, without brake and pedals, and I wanted so much to use it. In my residence there is a huge descent, “perfect for a bike with no pedals”, yeah I was that dumb. Anyway, so my dad was doing some stuff not to far from me, but I was like on my own, I decided to jump on my bike and get carried away by the descent. A huge mistake. I had no brake on my bike so to stop me I had to crush my shoes on the floor, but they were new so I didn’t want to  damage them, I decided that I wouldn’t be the one to stop me but the wall would. I went through my entire residence and the wall at the bottom stopped me. You see what is coming, don’t you? So the wall stopped me and the shock was so violent that I bit my tongue to the point that I pulled it out with my own teeth, that sound crazy right? I don’t remember the travel from home to hospital, but my parents told me that a stayed aware with the half of my tongue cut. I got eight stitches on the tongue, nowadays we cannot see those stitches. I couldn’t talk either, for more than one month.

I think that why I remember that memory so clearly is because I never hurt myself that much, I was four or five, and I got the biggest injury of my entire life. Also my family knows all the story so if I don’t remember anything I can ask them what I want. I am quite sure that this event did not changed my personality, if it had not happened I would have stayed as I am today. The cool thing now is that I don’t take much risk in my life so I’m pretty sure this will never happen again.
